Donau Carbon is one of the world’s leading companies in the activated carbon field with more than 100 years of success. The company solves numerous environmental challenges with its products and services for cleaning gas, air, water and liquids. Represented in over 60 countries worldwide with more than 240 employees, the company has numerous branches, subsidiaries and production facilities throughout Europe, Asia and the USA. We work together with its central headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Task
Capture images of the entire Donau Carbon product range – a tall order considering activated carbon adsorbers are up to 8 meters tall and weigh many tons. A photoshoot of these products in their natural environments not only presented an enormous logistical challenge. Given our technical and creative know-how, we advised Donau Carbon that instead of photography, we create 3D visualisations easily implemented across all media.

3D Renderings
Donau Carbon provided us with CAD data, technical drawings and product photos at the beginning of the project. We transformed this data and information into photorealistic 3D renderings that captured all features down to the smallest details.
Design for adaptability
While the final visualisations are undoubtedly impressive, the 3D renderings saved time and money compared to photoshoots and extensive image retouching. What’s more, Donau Carbon can easily adapt 3D images into all types of communication measures thanks to their high degree of flexibility..
